What is the farm at Berghotel Presslauer like, and what can children do there?
Berghotel Presslauer has a small farm next to the hotel, home to ponies, sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, cats and rabbits. The family calls it their big hobby and their little labour of love. Children are allowed to feed the animals, help muck out, play in the hay and ride along on the tractor, and adults are welcome to listen in and lend a hand. What are the family rooms like, and what do they cost?
The family rooms at Berghotel Presslauer have separate bedrooms for parents and children, a shower and WC, natural wood parquet floors, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and a safe. Family room 1 has an east-facing balcony with views of the Carinthian mountains, family room 2 a south-facing balcony looking towards the Carnic Alps and Nassfeld. According to the hotel, parents can see the playground and the natural swimming pond from the balcony. Rooms are booked with breakfast or half board and charged per family per night.
In early summer and autumn 2027, family room 1 costs from €185 per family per night with breakfast and €226 with half board, and family room 2 costs €195 and €239, for two adults and one child up to 14. In summer 2027, from 1 July to 31 August 2027, family room 1 costs from €192 with breakfast. For a second child, €22 per night is added with breakfast or €35 per night with half board.
Can we stay in a holiday apartment and still have breakfast or dinner at the hotel?
Yes. Berghotel Presslauer has three holiday apartments in an apartment house 70 m from the hotel, with 52 to 65 m² for 2 to 6 people, a kitchenette and a large balcony. Apartment 1 has a children’s room with a bunk bed. While the hotel is open, apartment guests can book breakfast at the hotel for €15 per person per day, or €10.50 for children up to 14, and dinner for €19, or €13 for children.
Half board for apartment guests costs €34 per person per day, or €23.50 for children. In early summer and autumn 2027 an apartment costs €129 to €159 per night, depending on the apartment. The minimum stay is three nights, and the final cleaning costs €75. Fresh bread rolls can be ordered for collection.
