How many people can stay in a family room?
The price of a family room at Berghotel Presslauer covers two adults and one child up to 14. For a second child, a supplement of €22 per night applies with breakfast or €35 per night with half board. How many people can sleep in a family room at most, and whether there is space for a third child, the hosts will tell you before you book, by phone on +43 4285 209 or through the non-binding enquiry.
The hotel provides baby cots free of charge. Families with three children can also stay in the holiday apartments, 70 m from the hotel.
How much does a family room cost per night?
A family room at Berghotel Presslauer costs from €185 per family per night with breakfast and from €226 with half board in early summer and autumn 2027, from 14 May to 30 June and from 1 September to 3 October 2027. In summer 2027, from 1 July to 31 August, prices start at €192 and €234. These are the prices for family room 1; all prices include VAT and cover two adults and one child up to 14.
For stays of fewer than two nights there is a supplement of €5 per person per night. For New Year’s Eve, the hotel charges a one-off supplement of €20 per person. On top comes the tourist tax of €4.50 per person per day, charged from age 16.99 according to the price list, and regular guests receive a 6% discount at the hotel.

Family room or holiday apartment: which suits a family with three children?
Families with three children have two options at Berghotel Presslauer. In a family room they stay in the hotel and eat in the restaurant with breakfast or half board; the price covers two adults and one child up to 14, and you clarify the third child with the hosts beforehand. Apartment 1 has 55 m² for 3 to 6 people and a children’s room with a bunk bed, and Apartment 3 has 65 m² for 4 to 6 people with two double bedrooms.
In the holiday apartments you cook for yourself or add breakfast, dinner or half board at the hotel while it is open; for apartment guests, half board costs €34 per person per day, or €23.50 for children. In early summer and autumn 2027, Apartment 1 costs €135 to €153 per night and Apartment 3 €147 to €159. The minimum stay is 3 nights, and the child discount does not apply in the apartments.
What is included in the price of a family room?
Depending on what you book, the price of a family room at Berghotel Presslauer includes breakfast, or half board with breakfast and dinner, plus free Wi-Fi and free parking right at the hotel. Meals start with dinner on the day of arrival and end with breakfast on the day of departure. Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out by 10 am. What can children do on the farm and at the swimming pond?
Berghotel Presslauer has a small farm with ponies, sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, cats and rabbits. Children may feed the animals, help muck out, play in the hay and ride along on the tractor; there are also pony rides, toasting stick bread over the fire and driving the children’s tractor. Can I bring my dog into the family room?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Berghotel Presslauer, in the family rooms too. The hotel charges €8 per dog per day, according to the price list as a cleaning fee, with dog food not included. The hosts expect well-behaved, house-trained dogs that stay off beds and upholstered furniture. How many dogs may come along, you clarify when you enquire.
Is there a baby cot for the family room?
Berghotel Presslauer provides baby cots free of charge. Whether a high chair and changing facilities are available, the hosts will tell you when you enquire; simply mention the age of your baby in the non-binding enquiry. How do I cancel a family room?
You can cancel a family room at Berghotel Presslauer free of charge up to 30 days before arrival; after that, 100% of the total price minus the tourist tax is due. The hotel only accepts cancellations in writing. The booking becomes binding once the deposit of around 30% of the total price has reached the hotel’s account; it is due within 7 days.
Can I book the family rooms in winter?
Yes. Berghotel Presslauer is open for two seasons, in winter from around 25 December until Easter or early April, in winter 2026/27 according to the price list from 25 December 2026 to 6 April 2027. Right next to the hotel there is a toboggan run, and you can borrow sledges and bobs at the hotel. The valley station of the Millennium-Express is 7 km away, by car or with the free ski bus.
Is there a playground and a playroom at the hotel?
Yes. Next to the natural swimming pond right in front of Berghotel Presslauer there is a playground with go-karts and a trampoline, away from busy roads. For rainy days there is a children’s playroom inside the hotel. What the hosts are currently offering for the youngest guests, such as pony rides or stick bread over the fire, you will find out on arrival.
