Berghotel Presslauer is also a cycling hotel in Carinthia. Guests park their bikes in the hotel\u2019s own lockable bike garage and charge e-bike batteries free of charge at the charging points. According to nassfeld.at, the Gail Valley cycle path R3 runs for 83.8 km from K\u00f6tschach-Mauthen to Villach, in about 6 hours and with an easy profile between 489 and 700 m above sea level. The section from Hermagor station to Villach Warmbad is 57 km long, and the R3a variant runs along Lake Pressegger See. Berghotel Presslauer lies above the valley at around 1,000 m above sea level, so the way back from the cycle path to the hotel is uphill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The S4 runs between Villach and Hermagor; according to \u00d6BB, the \u201c\u0001\u201d takes up to 24 bikes, every day and without reservation. Between Hermagor and K\u00f6tschach-Mauthen, according to \u00d6BB, the Gail Valley bike bus ran from 15 June to 27 September 2026, with booking on +43 664 88611 685. With the G\u00e4steCard basic of the region, overnight guests travel free of charge on regional buses and on the S4. So guests of Berghotel Presslauer can cycle one way and return by train or bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nassfeld Pass by road bike starts in Tr\u00f6polach, home of the Millennium-Express valley station, 7 km from Berghotel Presslauer. According to quaeldich.de, the climb is 11.2 km long with 929 metres of ascent and an average gradient of 8.3 percent up to the top of the pass at 1,530 m; other portals give slightly different figures. The pass road (B90) continues into Italy, down to Pontebba in the Canal Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
