Berghotel Presslauer has a small farm next to the hotel, home to ponies, sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, cats and rabbits. The family calls it their big hobby and their little labour of love. Children are allowed to feed the animals, help muck out, play in the hay and ride along on the tractor, and adults are welcome to listen in and lend a hand. Pony rides, toasting stick bread over the fire and driving the children\u2019s tractor are also part of the offer for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes. Berghotel Presslauer is open in summer from mid-May until the first weekend in October, so late May is part of the season, and the small farm is right next to the hotel. What are the family rooms like, and what do they cost?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The family rooms at Berghotel Presslauer have separate bedrooms for parents and children, a shower and WC, natural wood parquet floors, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and a safe. Family room 1 has an east-facing balcony with views of the Carinthian mountains, family room 2 a south-facing balcony looking towards the Carnic Alps and Nassfeld. According to the hotel, parents can see the playground and the natural swimming pond from the balcony. Rooms are booked with breakfast or half board and charged per family per night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In early summer and autumn 2027, family room 1 costs from \u20ac185 per family per night with breakfast and \u20ac226 with half board, and family room 2 costs \u20ac195 and \u20ac239, for two adults and one child up to 14. In summer 2027, from 1 July to 31 August 2027, family room 1 costs from \u20ac192 with breakfast. For a second child, \u20ac22 per night is added with breakfast or \u20ac35 per night with half board.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Yes. Berghotel Presslauer has three holiday apartments in an apartment house 70 m from the hotel, with 52 to 65 m\u00b2 for 2 to 6 people, a kitchenette and a large balcony. Apartment 1 has a children\u2019s room with a bunk bed. While the hotel is open, apartment guests can book breakfast at the hotel for \u20ac15 per person per day, or \u20ac10.50 for children up to 14, and dinner for \u20ac19, or \u20ac13 for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Half board for apartment guests costs \u20ac34 per person per day, or \u20ac23.50 for children. In early summer and autumn 2027 an apartment costs \u20ac129 to \u20ac159 per night, depending on the apartment. The minimum stay is three nights, and the final cleaning costs \u20ac75. Fresh bread rolls can be ordered for collection.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Is the hotel suitable for babies and toddlers?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For families with small children, a lot is close together at Berghotel Presslauer. The natural swimming pond with its shallow entry and biological cleaning lies right in front of the hotel, the playground next to it, away from busy roads, and there is a playroom for children inside. In an extra bed in hotel and family rooms, children up to 5 pay 90% less. What can families do around the Gail Valley in June?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Around Berghotel Presslauer, the hotel recommends the Felsenlabyrinth rock maze, the summer toboggan run, the amusement park at Lake Pressegg and the Aquatrail at Nassfeld, and it calls the Gartnerkofel a family mountain. According to nassfeld.at, Nassfeld offered more than 20 mountain experiences from 13 June in summer 2026, including the Pendolino summer toboggan run, the giant Dondolo alpine swing and the BergWasser Aqua Trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lake Pressegg is about 20 minutes away by car, and according to kaernten.at its water reaches up to 28 \u00b0C. The K\u00e4rnten Card is available directly at the hotel; in summer 2026 it gave free entry to 100 attractions, according to the operator.<\/p>\n<\/div>
